- Abstract
COVID-19 meant sudden and tremendous challenges for society, politics and organisations from 2020 onwards. The pandemic spread rapidly and thus, endangered people’s health and even lives. In consequence, there were drastic policies implemented above all aiming at reducing personal contacts. Moreover, international cooperations (e.g. collaborative supply chains) were threatened. Drop outs because of illness, death or quarantine could not always be balanced. In addition, personnel was often engaged in organising new structures and thus, could not meet the usual obligations. This study shed light on the effects COVID-19 had on different sectors. We focused on chances arising from the coerced changes. Special interest lay on ecological as well as socially responsible innovation. In winter 2020/21 qualitative interviews were conducted, followed by a broad online survey in spring 2021
